What's an archetype?

Carl Jung, a Swiss psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, introduced the concept of archetypes as universal, primal symbols and images that derive from the collective unconscious. These archetypes manifest in various forms, influencing human behavior and experiences. Some of the well-known archetypes include the Caregiver, the Hero, the Innocent, and the Artist, each representing different aspects of the human psyche.
